From September 9-11, the capital will play host to the annual Bogota Music Market (BOmm). Organised by the Camara de Comercio, the market has been running for four years as a key driver in promoting local musical talent. A diverse and interesting set of events are scheduled to take place, including, for the first time, workshops and talks for the public by a number of industry figures under the banner of BOmm Labs.
BOmm seeks to put over 180 Colombian bands and artists in touch with more than 120 buyers, both national and international. These bands run the full gamut of genres, from champeta and ska to rock, jazz and more. There will be plenty of shows, not only at the Camara de Comercio, but also in the evenings, at Armando Records on September 9 and the following day at La Ventana in the Zona T.
